Massage is one of the oldest healing arts. Chinese records date its applications back 3,000 years. Today the benefits of massage are varied and far-reaching. As an accepted part of many physical rehabilitation programs, massage therapy has also proven beneficial for many chronic conditions, including low back pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, fatigue, sports performance, and injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents. As many millions will attest, massage also helps relieve the stress and tension of everyday living that can lead to disease and illness. Jamey Kirschel, LMT (Oregon license 11830) has been a practicing licensed massage therapist since 2004. She is best known for using her feet during massage, a technique known as Ashiatsu Bar Therapy. This is a deep, gravity assisted massage that focuses on the big muscles along the spine, gluteals, and legs.
Jamey also has extensive experience working with Orthopedic Massage, Auto and Sports Injuries, and chronic pain issues. With over 10 years of experience and hundreds of hours of continuing education, Jamey has the resources to assist you in identifying and resolving your musculoskeletal issues.
